Indicative summary
This Indicative Summary in its entirety and the section headings
within the Terms and conditions do not themselves form part of the
terms and conditions.
1 Definitions:
This section gives the meaning of 'we', 'you', 'the Site', 'visitor',
'customer', 'user', 'posting', 'adult' and the use of the singular,
plural, masculine and feminine.
2 General provisions:
Use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
These may change without prior notice. Use of the Site is at the
user's risk.
3 Status:
This section gives our registration details and service marks.
4 Property and permissions:
The Site is our physical and intellectual property and may not be
copied except for customer postings which are placed on the Site
in order to be copied.
5 User undertakings:
- The Site is governed by English law and users agree to abide by
it.
- You use the Site at your own risk.
- You warrant that you are legally empowered to make any agreements
you enter into as a result of using the Site.
- You undertake to make contact with other users only for the purposes
they indicate on the Site.
- You undertake not to hack the Site and not to hold us liable for
any consequence of using the Site.
- You undertake to tell the truth, to be honest in your postings
and in your dealings with us and other users.
- You undertake to refrain from using the Site to cause offence
to others.
6 Customer Undertakings:
- You agree to keep postings accurate and up to date.
- You agree to make your postings and use of the Site truthful and
responsible.
- You agree not to use the Site in a manner that is likely to reduce
its speed or effectiveness.
7 Control of content:
We make random checks of content and may remove anything that we
judge to go against the spirit of the Site.
Where we suspect an illegal or unlawful intent, we may pass copies
of postings to appropriate individuals or public authorities without
informing the person posting them.
We convey customers' materials but do not edit, publish or endorse
them.
8 We are not a party to arrangements between users:
Arrangements between users of the Site are entirely up to them.
Be careful in this respect. If you arrange a meeting, make the first
one in bona fide business premises or in a frequented public place. If you
arrange to sell work or services, limit your financial risk by negotiating
deposits and stepped payments.
9 Continuity of service, back-up and non-compensation:
We do our best but we don't make any guarantees of service. No-one
has control of the internet and the parts we do control are all
subject to the usual technical problems. This means it's possible
for us to lose all the material you have posted on the Site. So
always keep back-ups. We do not compensate. If you maintain good
practices there should be little, if anything, to compensate for.
10 Means to Meaning Limited is not an agency:
We do not represent you or employ you in any way. You use the Site
to make your own representations to visitors.
11 Veracity:
Tell the truth and remember that others might not.
12 Payment
You undertake to reimburse us if we are charged for erroneous transactions or refused
payments due to your action.
We operate uniform pricing but, depending on where you live and
how you pay, different parts of that price may go to pay various
taxes, duties, transaction fees and the like. If we adjusted prices
to individual circumstances throughout the world you would have
to pay more in order to cover the administrative costs involved.
Refunds may be given at the discretion of the company management.
13 Pricing:
We aim to give good value for money. The customer information on
view is free to visitors.
14 Confidentiality:
We respect your confidentiality and expect you to respect ours and
that of other users.
15 Privacy policy:
We respect your privacy and expect you to respect the privacy of
other users of the Site. In particular, we discourage any use of
contact details on the Site for purposes other than those given
in connection with those details.
We may contact you about additional goods and services which we
may offer from time to time. We may also ask you for additional
information in connection with the development of our business,
but you decide whether or not to respond, and response is not a
condition of existing agreements between us.
If you tick the box to allow us to provide your details to third
parties, we may do this but we will not transmit your details to
organizations we consider to be of no interest to people in the
media. We do not engage in spamming or give your details to those
whom we consider likely to do this.
Our cookies identify your computer but not you.
We operate within European Union data protection legislation which
can be viewed at www.dpr.gov.uk.
